Mommy Needs a Cocktail
I am still trying to recover from this cold, re-injured my back carrying 40 lb. Loretta across the Seattle Center, and trying to prep for a an 80-person catering gig on Orcas Island this weekend. Since I should be chopping vegetables in my kitchen right now (and not blogging), here’s a photo for the day. Thanks for that card, Em. Damn those juice boxes.
And one more thing. Check out Your Stories. Ginger, a wonderful reader, loved the photo of me in my kitchen and said, “Wouldn’t it be great if we could see each other in our kitchens?” I told her we’d kick off the campaign with her. Doesn’t she look awesome? Both of us would love more photos. Send ‘em in!

That card is hysterical!!
Funny. Ginger is my neighbor and told me about your blog.
I was wondering if you might help some of us out and give ideas if we tell you what’s leftover in our fridge. I really do seem to be coming up blank.
Hi Cora! Nice to have you here.
I love these sorts of requests. I can’t guarantee that I’ll respond right away, but you can always put it out there, either via comments or my email.
I could help chop late today (and into the evening) or for a couple hours tomorrow. I can hop the light rail and be there in a jiffy. Let me know.
Whispered your name this morning at the yoga studio - for your back, your catering job, discernment, and now I’m adding gentleness with yourself.
Happy chopping.
I hope you take Priya up on her offer.
Can’t wait to hear about all the new fans you make this weekend with your food and yourself.
cocktails go wonderfully with chopping…as long as you don’t have to many. safety first girl here, just checkin in.
I just found your website…thanks to Dana treat…and I am having fun poking around
One of the best thing about Europe is that they have wine, in juice boxes. I wonder if it’s possible if this revolution has made it the states yet?
jordon, I’m so glad you are checking in still, umm, she might just need it!
